I was hoping maybe there was some way to help them find paths but if it's all calculated I guess we can just hope for S2Games to actually fix it, must be a problem in their own maps aswell. Good luck with the contest!

| Why was it turned down? As I see it it's quite good and can be fun playing on. I demand an explanation! | |

| Is there any way we can try a map as a commander or a regular unit? I can open it in the editor and look at it but that's basically it. | |

Ye, as Arctic^Penguin said you can start a local game (lan game), these are the neccessary steps. 1. Put the map in your map-folder in the game, in my case that would be: C:\Games\Savage 2 - A Tortured Soul\game\maps 2. You start a local game on the map that will now be available in your local client. 3. Choose a team and go into warmup or 4. Open the console using Ctrl-F8 and type "startgame" (without the quotes). Then hit Ctrl-F8 again to remove the console. -x

| You dont even have to startgame. It has a warm up. So you can spawn anywhere and check it out. | |

| Nods, thats true. Personally I prefer to start a real game most of the time so I get commander view as well. But that ofc depends on what you wanna do | |

| Yeah it works now, weird. I've tried the same thing with your first build but I couldn't get past the Phase 3 screen :/ Had a quick run through the map, and here's my opinion: I love the overall atmosphere of the map, it really stands out of the official ones. Had fun exploring the areas, I think it would make a great addition. Here are the things I found for you to fix: - the lighting is way too dark for some reason. maybe because of the sky. don't know wether you could change this - the pebbles on the roads make up for the lack of foliage at some places (and I don't mean the trees, there's enough of them) but maybe you could place some more bushes and large plants. just scatter them all over - more grass needed, 99% there is only green textures on the ground - the roads above the mountains are great but they need some texturing (in the middle only) like black-rock textures or something Also found a texture glitch and a few awkward places, take a look at them. Screenshots: Try to finish it today, it would be great to have this one in the official mapcycle! 1st - texture glitch 2nd - scar isn't seamlessly integrated into the ground 3rd - sharp polygon edges on the left 4th - same as a bove 5th - ledge hangs in the air | |

| Ya the grass texure is kinda buged. It only works sometimes and its very anoying to get it to work. The mountain paths do have a difo rock texure on the gound bit ( you know what I mean ) but I did fade it it a fair bit, as the options where not great.
Thanks for spoting that texure glitch. Its a dam problem I fade it and fade it and then when you load the map it fuc ks up. But they easy fix's thanks

| Ok I fixed them bits, I tryed to add grass and the hole map lost all texures .... was not impressed. So I REfixed and left it at at. A for lighting I added some but for somereason they dont work in game just in the editor ( lame ) so I took them out.
http://www.s2maps.com/files/mountainpaths.s2z had to rename it for the dam uploader to take file.
I am now done. I had enough of messing about with it. If any of you want to carry on with it be my guest.

| Good news I just checked and when i redid the blockers, you no longer have to baby sit the works. They use the right paths now.
Theres only 1 place they get stuck. coming from NE mine to SE stronghold. they get stuck on a tree .... nothing I can do. And they still find it hard to get to the Scar :S
yet I found another dam bug ..... 1 of the gold mines has ALOT less than the others lol Doh. easy fix tho.

| I did a Gar check and you can build lots. also I checked where you can put towers. There are some real nice spots but none are unattackable. This can be done at both the Lair and Stronghold and should be well funny. Lol spawn now bitchs Now we need to have a Game on it say 5vs5 should be doable | |
