i uploaded the copy which was posted on first page. Same as the one you posted?

v.04 ? But there is a bugg your map shows max players as 1 while other maps show the designated 16 as i assigned in startup.cfg.

Try connect to it. Might just be visual bugg

Ok..... good news / bad news.

Bad news = The next copy of the map will prob be a few days, really depends, and it will only be up to the stage the map is currently at.

Good news = The reason its going to take a few days is cos I uped the size of the map so that the comm veiw works properly and you can see the edges. Also adding alot of room behind the main buildings for tech as I noted a couple of times the comms where not good at useing the space as i add intended Very Happy

Secondry Bad news = This basicaly has ment I am having to compleatly retexure the hole bloody thing from scratch, cos when I uped the size of the map, all of the texure work and color was lost. Hence why the time frame depends on how it goes, as its harder to texure with all the trees and shit allrdy on the map, cos they get in the way from seeing from a high point of view. Last time it took me about 2 days to texure it.

At lest I didnt have to make it from scratch to fix the comm bug. That would have been a killer.
Heres what I got done tonight, as you can see there is a fuck load more room now.



Oh and I "should" have fixed the portal under the bridges bug now, but I not tested the fix yet.
Abxi I never got what you where on about with the scar and portals tho ?
& did anyone find any other bugs ( texure ones no longer count Very Happy )

My saplings couldn't cross the bridges, they had to take a detour to get close to the enemy base. As a consequence, I just couldn't make them reach the scar, not sure if it's intended.

I also voiced my concern yesterday about most of the foliage acting like walls and stopping ranged attacks though I'm not sure if it also happens on official servers. It just seemed to happen a little too much; most notable was when I was standing right behind a bush as a beast and had a savage empty his repeater on me without leaving a scratch.

Speaking of ranged attacks, I had a really hard time hitting anything using straight fireballs with my pred. I think it's because your map features a lot of bumps so I don't think it can be considered a bug. It's still annoying though. =p

Yeah or even more annoying you are standing close to a bush and fires and the dam invisable bush takes youre shoots.
Try place a portal at the top of the scar and u see it cannot be done. Perhaps this is how it is on all scars?

From what I recall this is a bigtime problem with the Savage 2 engine in general - all foilage eat up shots - hopefully they'll fix it sooon...

Is it widespread across the entire bush or perhaps can rotate it so you dont get teh area which fucks it up towards the road you walking on.

It just random which models do it and which dont. I will be taking some out in places where I deem it to much of a problem. Rotating them will do nothing, and some of them wont even rotate.

As for Sap's/Workers ya its the s2 engine they wont walk over a bridge. They are ment to be working on a fix for this but I knew of it when Made the map and I didnt want them to anyway.
As the walls on Morning as just silly as any good comm just sets a couple of workers on it early while hes not useing them and bingo your tho when you rdy.

As for the portal on the scar yes thats the same on any scar.

Let me know if you releases a new version of the map since its in the rotation list for the elite Clan server which now has match configured.

I suggest you give it to Valkyrie so he can host it on his custom map server as well.

Progress report:

Well I have worked like hell last 2 nights, and I finaly getting there.

I have about a 1/4 left to do. and then I need to go over it with the 2nd layer of color, and then it should be back to the same texure lvl as the one on the server atm.
I have altered the paths abit in mid and mid north by the mine. nothing big. and taken out the tree. I have started to take out some of the problem bushs and I will replace them later with high grass.

The only problem is the mini map, due to going larger on the map size the mini map now has a rather big boarder Very Happy
I should have a copy for us to try on wenesday, fingers crossed.

Right its been a MASSIVE task and a hell of a lot of work to get this next copy done.
But here it is.
Bloater_Island 0.6
had to use a difo download webby as Media was not having it today for somereason.
It needs a couple games on it now for bug checking. I have resolved alot of the bugs.
I have added Grass in to it nowas well, I will be adding other foliage later like flowers etc. Still no sounds yet, but thats an easy job to end on.

Ok just a quick update
Bloater_Island v0.7

I just found some texure glitchies and I also fixed a bug on the beasts bridge and a fence post that went missing.
Also I now set the gold mines right. They had got 5mil gold but I have now setting it to
Base 40k @ 275
Outside mine 25k @ 150
Mid 30k @ 180

I want mid to be higher as its going to be so hard to hold like on eden.
Also set the hell blockers to 10k hp atm

Also nuked ALOT more bush's lol

Ok I have add'd in the NPC's
On each mine is 4 gren's and 1 icy, and 4 rogues on the scar.

Have also continued adding folliage, but thats a slow task.
Add'ed in the sounds too.

I could really do with a bug check now to make sure its all ok!

I will post a request in the Events forum for a game tonight pending if Abxi is online.
